Fiber Technique in Amman
Fine hairstrokes drawn one at a time, each in the direction of natural growth, with no shading. 250 JOD at the Abdoun studio.
The fiber technique is one of the newest permanent brow techniques, and it is not "fibrows", which is a style of microblading strokes. It is a technique built on fine hairstrokes drawn one at a time, each following the direction of natural hair growth. Alaa Al Masri performs it at his studio in Abdoun, Amman, Jordan; he learned it in Vietnam and does not know anyone else practising it in the Middle East. It costs 250 JOD, lasts one to three years, and suits every skin type.

What is the fiber technique?
A natural brow is not a shadow or a coloured area; it is hairs, each with its own direction and length. Fiber draws the hair itself: more upright at the front, more slanted toward the tail, with no shading and no stroke-and-shade mix. That is why it is among the closest techniques to a natural brow.

How is it different from microblading?
Both draw hairstrokes, but microblading opens a manual incision with a blade, which heals and then spreads and fades at the edges. Fiber is not a manual incision, so each stroke keeps its edge much longer. That is why it lasts one to three years instead of three to nine months, and suits oily skin that microblading does not.
Who it suits
- Anyone wanting the most natural result possible: strokes, not fill.
- Oily or combination skin that has been told "strokes are not for you".
- Anyone wanting long wear: one to three years.
- Clients coming from outside Amman or abroad: it usually finishes in a single visit (details).
Why does it cost more?
Because drawing each hair separately in the right direction takes longer and takes experience that cannot be rushed. But it lasts twice as long as microblading or more, so its cost per year is actually lower.
How the session goes
- Consultation: skin type, any previous work, and what you want.
- Measuring and mapping: I draw the shape on your face, and nothing begins until you see it in the mirror and approve it.
- Choosing the pigment to match your skin and hair.
- Topical numbing, then drawing the strokes one at a time.
- Instructions: ointment and written aftercare before you leave.
Aftercare
- Seven days: no water directly on the brow.
- Two weeks: no pool, sea, sauna or hard exercise.
- Do not pick the flakes, they pull pigment out with them.
- The colour looks dark in the first week, then softens. Do not judge the result before healing is complete.
